Taking communion

We are told by the Lord to remember Him when we take communion and there are many reasons and benefits for us to do so. When we remember what the Lord did for us (and still doing), as we take the Lord's supper, a power is released upon us from the Lord to meet whatever need we are trusting Him for.

We should remember that He left heaven because He loved us, and came down to earth to live as a man for 33 years. He voluntarily gave His body to be beaten with many stripes for our healing. He went to the cross. And took upon Himself everything about us that qualified us for hell. He died, went to hell for us, was raised up on the 3rd day for our justification, that we might be set right with God. He later ascended on high back to heaven, where He is at the right hand of the Father, interceding on our behalf.

As we take communion, this is what we remember and hold onto as we trust Him to meet our need.

When we do this on a consistent basis as we spend time with Him in our prayer closet, we will begin to see a great manifestation of His glory and presence in our lives as we draw closer to Him.
