We are supposed to live this life of kingdom citizens as overcomers of this world. It may seem like it is starting out slow at first, but if we continue to follow Christ, we will become stronger in Him and soon will began to triumph over this world and its influences.
This world has nothing to offer us that is better than God can give us. Our attention shouldn't be on the distractions of this world, which will soon pass away, but on the eternal things that await us once we pass thru this temporal life. Our minds and heart must be set, so that no matter what happens to us here, our destiny in Christ is set with Him forever. We may have trials and tribulations in this life but that is only to make us stronger in the Lord.
Our job is to be obedient to the Lord as He guides us thru this life. We must fear Him, because He is holy and awesome. We must love Him, and as we draw closer to Him the less pull and influence this world has on us.
We become triumphant and conquerers only as we abide in Christ and give our hearts to Him.
